How do I make an MP3?
To make an MP3 you need to go out and either purchase
a program like MusicMatch Jukebox, or you can visit their website and
download the demo version of their program.
When you purchase the program from a store you are getting the full
version, but when you download the demo version of MusicMatch you are
getting a scaled down version. In
the demo version you can make any song off of a cd into an MP3 (a lot will
only let you compress the first song), the only catch is you can compress
it to a maximum of 96kps (kilobytes per second).

Now that we have a program to compress your music we
can start to make your MP3’s.
1.
Open
up MusicMatch Jukebox.
2.
Insert
a music cd into your cd-rom.
3.
There
will be three windows open in MusicMatch by default: the player, the music
library, and the recorder. The
recorder is at the bottom and is marked recorder.
4.
In
the recorder window you will see a list of tracks note: there are no
track names, so you must know what track(s) you want to compress

After
you have put a check mark in the box you only have to press the start
button.

Congratulations
you have just made an MP3. If
you would like more control over the MP3 that you can make just click on options,
recorder, and then settings
Now there are many different MP3 encoders available on the market, some will have better options than MusicMatch and some won’t. I suggest that you get as many demo versions you can until you find an encoder that you are comfortable with using, and then support the guys who made it by purchasing the full version.
