This Web site provides a brief introduction to dynamic HTML. Many details of using and implementing the new technology can be found in Web sites. The following annotated list provides a source for those who wish to learn more about dynamic HTML.

#1: Macromedia's DHTML Zone: This site has excellent information on DHTML implementation for both IE4 and NN4. It has a good description of cross-browser implementation issues. Information currency is a big plus.

#2: Microsoft's Site Building Network: This site provides the most comprehensive information on Microsoft's DHTML implementation. It has easy-to-follow examples for the non-programmers.

#3: ZDNet.com: This site provides a good collection of articles that cover all the basic topics of the DHTML.

#4: DHTML Demos: This site is managed by Jeff Rule, Senior Microsoft Web Developer at Discovery Channel Online. It has information on version 5 browsers. Cross-browser demos for IE4 and NN4 abound on this site.

#5: Webreference's DHTML Lab: The site focuses on cross-browser and backward compatibility. It has a good collection of examples, with source code. Be sure to subscribe to the free newsletter.

#6: Webmonkey's DHTML section: The Webmonkey has designed a set of tutorials to get you started with DHTML. The site has a large collection of discussion articles and hands on exercises.

#7: Webcoder.com: This site provides an animated introduction to the DOM. It has good information on JavaScript and DHTML.

#8: Netscape's dHTML site: This is the official source for Netscape’s DHTML implementation, but other sites (that focus on cross-browser issues) provide more information on Netscape than this one.

#9: The Dynamic Duo - Cross-Browser Dynamic HTML: This is another site jammed with cross-browser ideas. The step-by-step tutorials are helpful.

#10: Dynamic HTML Index: This site has a good variety of links on DHTML. All the links are current.
