The Program offers a diverse and thorough examination of law, legal rules, concepts, structures, institutions, and personnel. The progam offered a sound intellectual foundation to help me thrive in further studies and in the broad range of occupations available with a legal education.

My Honours thesis involved the study of RCMP training practices. The thesis researched the training practices of the RCMP and how they have been modified for the evolving canadian applicants

 

Royal Canadian Mounted Police - Surrey Detachment
1993 - Present

Upon graduating from the training academy, I was assigned to general duty in Surrey Detachment. Responsiblities included attending 911 calls, compiling Crown Counsel Reports, locating missing children, night clubs checks, randam vehicle stops, investigating non-emergency complaints such as assaults and thefts.

In 1998 I was transferred to the Fraud department within Surrey Detachment. As a Fraud investigator I was required to answer and investigate Fraud complaints generated in Surrey, compile Fraud reports and make arrests where necessary.

1991 -1992

Legal Research Assistant for the Military Judges Responsible to research any legal queries from the military judges and lawyers. After legal queries, questions or concepts were researched, a report was compiled and submitted to the respective lawyer/judge.

As a junior officer in the Information Technology section, I was required to research various IT issues, compile the data and create digital presenations for section and department meetings.
