The largest single component of that five-part final assignment was a research project on a topic relevant to our studies. A list of acceptable subjects was offered. Didn't like any of those? Subject to instructor approval, we were free to choose another, but duplication was discouraged.
Our projects had to meet a fairly extensive list of requirements, to include graphics and acronyms and FAQs, a page of evaluated Web resources...the list went on forever. And, of course, design and coding and links and everything else we'd learned had to be just tickety-boo. To add insult to fear of flying, we also had to put together a 10 - 20 minute live presentation. Terror of public speaking was no excuse for default; fainting would only delay the inevitable.
What can I say? None of us died (at least not in the non-theatrical sense, anyway).
