| About Me Hi. As you already know my name is Corinna
Hutchinson and I go to Kwantlen University College. So maybe your wondering what I like to
do in my spare time.
I love music. It doesn't matter what type of
music it is because I love it all. My absolute favorite is swing. I've been in music since
the age of four when I thought it would be fun to learn the piano. From there I have also
mastered the flute, alto and tenor saxophone and a few percussion instruments such as the
bells, chimes and xylophone. Being in band has taking me all round the North Coast and
offered me teamwork and cooperation. I have performed in many well known music festivals
including the Banff Rocky Mountain Festival and the Western Conservatory Music Festival.
In each I received high honors.
Another interest of mine is curling. My father
was the one who introduced me to this sport. I was hooked from my first time on the ice. I
have now been curling for eight years and my goal is to make it to the Olympics one day. I
have competed in the B. C. Winter Games in 1996 and our team came fifth. I have also
participated in zones, Optimist Junior Interclub in both Surrey and Langley, and
Four Foot Curling Camp which is a summer curling camp that takes place in the Okanagan.
And finally I love to go camping and hiking. Some
of the places that I have been camping are Golden Ears, Greendrop, Chilliwack Lake,
and Widgen Creek. This summer I plan to accomplish the West Coast Trail with a small group
of friends. I have not been camping for very long but it does not take much to get into
this past time. All you need is a little equipment, a love for nature, and a lot of
determination.
